After my day of rest in Auxerre, Bernd and me walked along the "canal de Nivernais" in the direction of Vezelay. We wanted to approach Vezelay as close as possible, so we did about 32 km. The understanding between Bernd and me is very good, even if we were rather different. In this morning, much rain came down on our heads.

Arriving Arcy sur Cure, we was directed to the Camping area. There were tents to hire. So we installed for the night. We had a very interessting conversation with the owner of the camping area.

Next morning, after the coffee, offered by the owner, we started our walk. It was very humid and very heavy air. The snakes were sunbathing on the roads. After climbing up a hill, Vezelay was in sight. Here i can get rid of one more book.

Arriving in Vezelay, we were shocked. This tiny and small village was completely full with people. There was an other pilgrimage to Vezelay on this day. Rather frustrated we went in a supermarked and bought some beer. Drinking on the central place, one of a sudden a man called William asked us, if we were looking for a bed for this night.

So he showed us the albergue Bethanie with still some places free. Camino feeling, if you need something, wish it and it will happen!!! We met 2 other german pilgrims and all in all, it was a successful day!
